AS Preliminary
The first task specified in my coursework is to design the front cover of a school or college magazine as a preliminary prior to the main task. Therefore before I undergo the production process I will be studying what makes a front cover successful and examining how to incorporate these aspects into my own product. I intend to have a comprehensive range of research by Monday 5th October.
Goals:
- Understand all the generic conventions of a magazine cover
- Give examples of publishing institutions and their role
- Explore the ideologies of some magazine covers
- Research a range of magazine covers from different schools and colleges
- Explore how magazines appeal to their target demographic
